About

Strength and stillness in the same hour.

My name is Erica, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I built Rooted Rise because I wanted a practice that gave me real strength without asking me to push or prove. Movement that meets you where you are.

Why Rooted Rise

It feels like we live in a culture that says you didn’t do it well enough if you didn’t punish yourself. And honestly, after having a kid that never left me feeling great.

So, I wondered what it would look and feel like if instead I moved from a place of joy. From a place of reverence and gratitude.

And what if along the way I learned to be kinder to myself, feel more steady and have the tools to navigate life’s curveballs and everyday things with more ease and more spaciousness?

And so, I started to change the way I moved my body. I started focusing more on mobility, my breath and my nervous system.

And nothing has been the same since. In the best ways.

No more telling myself to do more, harder, faster. No pushing, just for the sake of pushing. I want the opposite. Something strong, steady and built from the inside out. For me. And for you.

My training and background

I started teaching barre classes in 2012, and over the years I have been trained by the four largest boutique barre brands. I’ve taken what I’ve learned and evolved it into the kind of movement I teach now. A blend of barre, pilates, yoga and nervous system regulation.

The real difference between the classes that I teach today and the versions of barre I learned years ago is the nervous system regulation I weave into every class. These help you leave class feeling steady, strong, grounded.
